WordPress – hidden fields in editor

Sometimes fields (discussion, ) in the editor do not appear.  To make them appear, click on the tab at the top right of the screen labeled “Screen Options”

this will reveal the optional fields.  Click the fields you would like to display, then click the “Screen Options” tab to close the drop down banner.
