Keys / Building Access
See the staff at Terasaki Loading dock, room 1005 to obtain building keys between the hours of 9&11am M-F. In order to obtain a key for a particular room or building entrance one will need to complete a key checkout form which requires a signature authorization by the PI/faculty member or your supervisor. There is a $20.00 charge per lost key. Keys must be returned to this office; do not give them to anyone else.
Most buildings are unlocked from 6am to 7pm M-F. To obtain access to the Terasaki Building after hours, on holidays/weekends your PI or Supervisor must email Humberto Barba (hbarba@lifesci.ucla.edu) stating that you are allowed to have such access. The PI/Supervisor must provide a date where your access will expire. Once this is done the person seeking access must bring their Bruin ID to Humberto Barba in room 1002 in the Terasaki building. He is available M-F between 8:30 and 9am and 3:30 – 4pm.
To gain access to the Plant Growth Center the PI must email Humberto Barba (hbarba@lifesci.ucla.edu) with the name and university ID number of each person they authorize to enter the building. Copy the individual(s) who need access. Humberto will process the request remotely and email each person detailed instructions. There is no need to visit Humberto’s office for such requests. A Bruin ID is required.
